Tacky Christmas Sweater Party… 2009
SO… last year my friend’s Christina and JL had a “Tacky Christmas Sweater Party.” This was them, last year…
This year, they co-hosted the party at their friend’s house. I was pretty excited to find a tacky sweater… (in my mom’s closet… Hey, no offense, it’s just one of those things you KNOW your mom has GOT to have. Love you Lindy! )and partake in this event. Because, really, a Christmas sweater, by definition, is tacky.
As I’m getting ready at Chris & JL’s house, Christina is all too excited to show me what they are wearing and they come out in THIS! I seriously almost died laughing. The reason for the season! Baby Jesus and his proud parents Mary and Joseph.
Posing by the tree with the Diet Coke ornament to bring out the Coke Ornament Balls on my deliciously-tacky-sweater. To make matters worse, Christina told me I needed “more” so she pulled out her bag of tricks. She found me some hideous Gold Lame Leggings… and to top it off, an acid washed grey jean skirt. (Which you’ll see more clearly later.)
Here are the hosts of the party. Clearly, the dress code was open to interpretation.
Continuing the joke that was apparently on me, some girls came in cute cocktail attire. Seriously? I look like a tourist visiting the North Pole.
Then Marisa and Scott show up. Marisa was fresh from her Old Navy ad she was apparently shooting just prior to getting there, looking Winter Cute. Scott had just got done practicing with his band, Weezer. “If you want to destroy my sweater, pull this thread as I walk away.” Which is what I sang to him, on repeat, all night.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot about the final touch Christina graces me with… this ‘adorable’ head band. I cannot tell you how nice it is to have friends that really keep me humble. HA!
Making me feel even more out of place… they opted for totally regular, no holiday, no nuthin’…
FINALLY! It might not be a “sweater” but it was quite creative and took the attention off of my disaster.
MORE SWEATERS!
Another non-participant… with 2 festive sweaters
Joey-Joe (as Joseph insisted he was called that night) and his two Christmas homeboys
If the Village People had significant others… I think this would be them…
Anyone ever seen the show “Modern Family?” haha
Me and Mr. Jeremy Palma, minus his twin bro, whom I haven’t seen in over 10 years. AMAZING!
WHAT… is going on here?
A modern-day mess…
Lindsey, is that Joseph’s beard oooorrrr……???
The fun never ends with these two…
Trinity Prep reunion…
Baby J was getting CRAZY!!! lol
A family that ice-luges together… stays together… Honestly one of the funniest pictures I have ever seen… in my entire life.
